GREENFIELD-Dorothy "Dot" B. (Blanchard) Yetter, 86, of Melbourne, FL died Wednesday (4/11/12) at the Arbors after a brief illness.

She was born in Palmer, MA on August 10, 1925, the daughter of Edward and Rachel (Carberry) Blanchard. Dot attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1943.

She continued her education and graduated as a registered nurse from the Franklin County Public Hospital Nursing Program.

Dot was employed at the former Franklin County Public Hospital maternity ward. She was also a homemaker and a former communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.

She enjoyed quilting, beading, golfing, playing bridge and being with her family.

She was a long time resident of Greenfield and had lived in Florida since retiring with her husband in 1989.

She was married to Sid Yetter, owner of Cooke and Jones General Contractors, for 57 years until his death on November 27, 2005.

Dot leaves six children, Nancy Conant, of Plymouth, MA, Sally Crouch of Larkspur, CO, John Yetter of Skillman, NJ, Jeffrey Yetter of Yorkstown, VA, Jeri Nardacci and Charles Yetter of Greenfield, along with 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Warren Blanchard.

A memorial funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 12th at 10:00am at Blessed Sacrament Church, with the Rev. Timothy J. Campoli, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Green River Cemetery.
