ERVING — Adell (Greer) Baker, 89, of Central Street, died Sunday (11-6-11) at the Buckley HealthCare Center in Greenfield.
She was born in Charlotte, Tenn., on Nov. 11, 1921, the daughter of Benjamin and Lucy (Hickerson) Greer. She was a graduate of Charlotte High School and had been a resident of Erving most of her life.
Adell was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting and bingo.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Serrell and his wife Linda of Turners Falls and George Baker and his wife Sue of Daytona, Fla.; a daughter, Beth Traceski and her husband Donald of Erving; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Serrell, Lisa Desbiens, Tina Clizbe, Jean and Kerri Traceski and Jason, Tristan and Christopher Baker; four great-grandchildren, Brady Serrell, Jacob Desbiens, Cheri Poirier and Cody Traceski, and several nieces and nephews.
Adell was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Serrell on Nov. 4, 1954 and by her second husband, Alvin Baker on May 11, 1976. Also, she was predeceased by her sister, Anita Hudgens, in 2009.

Funeral serivces will be Thursday(11/17/11) at 11 a.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
A calling hour will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
