GREENFIELD - Brian W. Nephew Sr., 58, of Greenfield, died Monday (1-3-11) at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
He was born in Greenfield on Feb. 19, 1952, the son of Frank L. Jr. and Myrtle (Lynde) Nephew. He had been a lifelong resident of Greenfield.
He had been an escort for Shepherd's Pilot Cars.
Brian served in the U.S. Navy.
He was an avid pool player and enjoyed fishing and going to Mohegan Sun.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mercia Rockwood; two sons, Brian W. Jr. of Greenfield and Frank L. Nephew II of Brattleboro, Vt.; four daughters, Lynn Drumm of Phoenix, Ariz., Elizabeth Kovolski of Easthampton, Lynn Magni of Winchester, N.H., and Kimberly Nephew of Greenfield; three sisters, Nancy Farr of Turners Falls, Sandra Ryan of Hatfield and Carol Lamagdelione of Chicopee; many grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His longtime companion was Marjorie Wilson.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
